- Receives feedback from the Power Wave and compares it to the commanded value. Based on a positive or negative offset the height axis is driven to maintain the heat input needed.
- Why it is better
- Utilized an exponential control vs a linear control to more effectively bring the feedbacks back to the commanded value. This allows a more reactive control when transiting across dramatic changes in surface distance while not over shooting when minor offsets are detected.

- Available in all APEX 3 series platform equipment which are designed to drive the HELIX M series weld heads.
